Cuil - A Web 2.0 Search Engine

Every day we search for queries to our preferred search engine.

But do you know that there is a new search engine that has a Web 2.0 style. Cuil offers a search result that does not rely on superficial popularity metrics but it search and ranks pages based on their content and relevance. It also display long entries with thumbnails pictures for many results.


The word "Cuil" is an old Irish word for knowledge.

Cuil was developed by some of the former employees of Google.

I tried browsing and searched some things. And it turned out to be fun because the interface is new and things to explore.

Nintendo DSi LL

Nintendo DSi XL (US/Europe) or DSi LL (Japan), and it will be release in Japan on November 21. This new device is priced at ¥20,000 (US $220) it has a feature of 4.2 inch screens. "LL" is referred in Japanese clothing style as extra large.

This new big screens redesigns came from the request of various customer that they want larger screens. And now Nintendo made a 93 percent increase over the DS Lite screen size. DSi LL is geared for those who want to have a larger font for their device. Especially those who want to use their handheld to browse the internet or play it as a music player.

Darker than Black: Gemini of the Meteor

It's the season 2 for Darker than Black. Two years have passed since the event in Tokyo where Hei and Yin escaped from the syndicate. Making their way to Russia, Hei encounters a young girl named Suou Pavlichenko, whose family is pulled into war between contractors and different intelligence faction. Meanwhile, Misaki Kirihara has quit her job position and focused her own investigation regarding Hei and the other contractors.

The first episode made me curious on new things that are happening. Like what deep mystery engulfs within the new Hei. And also on some old characters from the first season in episode 1. The new character Suou Pavlichenko, an average young girl that will have future events that involves contractors that will come to her family.
